Overview
Guided Sightseeing tour of Delhi, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562, Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Later drive past to India Gate, President House, famous for colourful culture, forts, palaces, and markets, excursion to Amber Fort, take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Fatehpur Sikr, Agra Fort, Taj Mahal, visit the fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, Visit Agra Famous Market & Marble Factory, visit to the temples of Khajuraho, visiting Laxmi & Varha temples, Kandariya Mahadev temple and Devi Jagdambi temple, Kandariya Mahadev temple, enjoy Light & sound show at Khajuraho temple boat ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise, Sarnath to see the Chinese and Buddhist temples and the interesting Sarnath Museum.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrive Delhi
Welcome to India - Meet & greet by our representative upon arrival at outside the exit gate (Gate No. 5) of Delhi airport and transfers to your pre-booked hotel, check-in at the hotel. Delhi - India's capital & a major gateway to the country.
Rest of the day free for leisure and overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.
Day 2 :
Sightseeing in Delhi
Morning after breakfast, proceed for Guided Sightseeing tour of Delhi, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. Later visit the Qutub Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Later drive past to India Gate, President House and Lutyen’s zone before you head toward Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Delhi.
Day 3 :
Delhi – Jaipur by road (260 Km / 5 Hrs.)
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and your driver will be available at hotel lobby to driver for Jaipur, it will take 5 hrs. By road.
Upon arrival at Jaipur, check –in to your hotel. Jaipur popularly known as Pink City. It’s famous for colourful culture, forts, palaces, and markets. The old city of Jaipur is painted pink, which gives it a magical glow.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Jaipur.
Day 4 :
Jaipur Sightseeing tour
Morning after breakfast proceed for excursion to Amber Fort, take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” Also visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar, etc.
Evening explore the city markets with Rickshaws ride and visit carpet and Jewellery factory.
Overnight at the Hotel – Jaipur.
Day 5 :
Jaipur – Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (245 Kms/ 5 Hrs.)
Morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Agra, en route visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by Emperor Akbar the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site. Continue driving to Agra.
Upon arrival check-in to Agra hotel and Post lunch later visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhi’s by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. Overnight at the Hotel – Agra.
Day 6 :
Agra Local Sightseeing
This morning visit the Taj Mahal which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, as a memorial to this queen, Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah.
Visit Agra Famous Market & Marble Factory, Overnight at the Hotel – Agra.
Day 7 :
Agra – Khajuraho via Jhansi
Early in the morning check out form the hotel and you would be transferred to the railway station. From there, board the next train to Jhansi (215 km away). On arriving Jhansi, you would be embarking on a road trip to Orchha (18 km away).
The town of Orchha was founded in 15th century AD and in today's world it is renowned for its numerous temples, palaces and forts.
As you would be done visiting the attractions of Orchha, get back on the road to Khajuraho (172 km away). On arrival at Khajuraho, you would be checking into a pre-booked hotel and overnight stay in Khajuraho.
Day 8 :
Khajuraho Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast proceed for visit to the temples of Khajuraho – which form probably one of the best examples of India art. You would be visiting Laxmi & Varha temples, Kandariya Mahadev temple and Devi Jagdambi temple.
Kandariya Mahadev temple is one of the largest Hindu temples in Khajuraho. It is famous for its stone carvings, the numbers of which count more than 900.
Evening enjoy Light & sound show at Khajuraho temple.
Overnight at hotel in Khajuraho.
Day 9 :
Khajuraho to Varanasi by Flight / Train (Additional cost)
After breakfast check out form the hotel and transfer to Khajuraho airport / railway station to Varanasi. (Optional cost of flight / train not included in the package cost). On arrival at Varanasi, meet and greet by our staff and proceed to your hotel.
Varanasi, the eternal city is the holiest Hindu city in India and one the oldest living cities in the world.
Meals – Breakfast only.
Note - The travel from Khajuraho to Varanasi will be as per the availability at the time of confirmation, as the flight from Khajuraho to Varanasi is not operational till further notice. So we cannot commit that the travel will be by train or by flight or by road.
Day 10 :
Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges to view the sunrise and to see the rituals the take place along the Ghats (waterside steps). Afternoon visit Sarnath to see the Chinese and Buddhist temples and the interesting Sarnath Museum.
Evening back to hotel for overnight stay – Varanasi.
Day 11 :
Varanasi – Delhi by flight
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Varanasi airport to catch the connecting flight (optional cost) for onward destination.
